or practicing there at the time of Registration. From the copy

of my Council's Rules, which I enclose, you will observe that by

Rule 17 (1) my Council's Register is similarly restricted and

as my Council are proposing to agree to accept Nurses on the

Hong Kong Register who may have been trained outside the Colony

it would appear desirable that it should not be possible for

any Nurse from outside to register with the Hong Kong Board merely

for the purpose of thereafter transferring to say, the Register

of my Council.

The point is probably not likely to arise in

practice but I am desired to mention it.
